Ice Hockey
North Point Ice Hockey Club provides players of all levels the opportunity to compete for and represent their high school. The North Point Ice Hockey Club is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide high school hockey opportunities to 7th – 12th grade students who reside within the North Point High School boundaries. Though North Point Ice Hockey Club is a non-school sponsored club, it plays under the Grizzlies name and logo and conducts itself in a manner that reflects positivity upon North Point High School.
Ages
Players in 9th grade through 12th grade are eligible to play Varsity and JV.
Players in 9th and 10th grades are eligible to play B-Team based on skill level.
Players in 8th grade are eligible for B-team.
Players in 7th grade are eligible for B-team as long as they also meet the age requirements to be 14U Bantams in youth hockey.
When
The season begins with practices in September and runs until the playoffs at the end of February.

Practices are typically held at Wentzville ice arena
Practices
High school players can expect to practice at least twice a week. Middle School players will practice just once a week.
Games
Each of our teams participates in the Mid-States High School Hockey league. The number of games varies depending on the level of the team.

Numbers can be selected based on availability.

Eligibility
This is only open for players who will be North Point High School students for the 2025-2026 school year.
Try Out Dates
8/11 7:10-8:10pm
8/12 8:10-9:10pm
8/13 7:10-8:10pm
All try outs will be at Wentzville Ice Arena
Due to USA Hockey rule changes neck protection will be required for all games, practices, and try-outs.
Cost
Try outs are free and registration fees will be due when the player is placed on a team.
Varsity/Swing:
Skaters: $1,850
Goalies: $1,450
JV:
Skater: $1,650
Goalies: $1,250
Payment options are available
Practices
JV will practice 1-2 times per week and Varsity will practice 2-3 times per week. Swing players will attend both JV and Varsity practices. Varsity game time for swing players will be at the coach’s discretion.
Jersey Numbers
You will be asked to select 4 different numbers during registration. We will assign a number based on the order of your selections.
Report Cards
You will be required to upload a report from the end of last year during registration. This is a requirement and needs to be done at this time.
You will also be asked to submit a report after the first semester completes. Students are required to meet a minimum GPA standard in order to play Midstates hockey.
